Rosie hugged Lisa tightly, smiling at the older girl. “Lisa!” She squealed, bouncing excitedly. “I brought Pumpkin to meet you!” She smiled and pulled the orange kitten out of the pocket of her robes, holding him up to Lisa.

“Oh my goodness!” she squealed, reaching out to scratch behind the kitten’s ears. He was the cutest thing she had ever seen. “Want to meet your new friend, Pumpkin?” she asked the kitten, crouching down so she was at eye level with it. “Come on Rosie darling,” she prompted, leading her inside the door and up into her dorm. She walked over to her bed and grabbed the teddy bear. “For you” she smiled, holding it out at arms length to her friend.

Rosie gently handed Pumpkin to Lisa so she could gather the teddy in her arms, tears springing to her eyes when she hugged it. “He’s /perfect/, Lisie! Thank you…I love him. I’m gonna name him Tubby.”
